Healing Powers of Ginger: Ginger Turmeric Tea
When I found this tasty recipe for a warming, detoxifying ginger-turmeric tea, I was thrilled. I had tasted a turmeric tea at my local farmer’s market in San Pancho and I knew that I had to share this recipe. This recipe is great for detoxing and healing and we can always use some of that, right?
There has been a lot in the news lately about the amazing healing properties of turmeric, a free-radical-fighting antioxidant-rich curry spice that has been hailed as a defense against both cancer, arthritis and Alzheimer’s. It’s also wonderfully cleansing for your liver, a natural anti-inflammatory for the whole body and a digestive aid.
I hope you will find this tea as delicious as I do! Ginger and turmeric combine with citrus and maple syrup to make the perfect blend of healing nutrients. This recipe is quick and simple. Fee free to double the recipe so you can keep extra in you fridge.
